It has been 130 years since Carlisle and County High School for Girls first opened its doors and former pupils who joined the school fifty years ago are organising a reunion here at Tullie House.

A dinner has been arranged for the evening of Saturday 6 September for all those who first entered the High School in September 1964.  So far some 75 'old girls' have been contacted but many others have moved on from their last known addresses and the organisers are keen to trace anyone else and invite them to join the great evening of celebrating and reminiscing.  It will take place almost 50 years to the day since 120 eleven year olds became Upper IIIrds at CCHS.

If you were one of those 11 year olds and would like to be in contact please e-mail Shiona (now Williams) at
