It has been 130 years since the Carlisle and County High School for Girls first opened its doors, former pupils who joined the school 50 years ago are organising a reunion here at Tullie House.

A dinner has been organised for the evening of Saturday 6th September for all those who first entered the High School in September 1964.  So far some 75 “old girls” have been contacted but many others have moved on from their last known addresses and the organisers are keen to trace anyone else and invite them to join the great evening of celebration and reminiscing.  It will take place almost exactly 50 years to the day since 120 eleven year olds became Upper IIIrds at CCHS.

If you were one of those 11 year olds and would like to be in contact, please email Shiona (now Williams) at Shiona@homecall.co.uk.
