New Settings Award Ceremony 2013

We are delighted to announce that Tullie House Museum & Art Gallery have won the Curious Minds' - 'New settings Award', for the delivery of *Arts Award across its education programme.

This award was for our delivery and commitment to the Arts Award, and in particular for the way that we have embedded the 'Award' across our education programme.  The judges considered; our Takeover Days, Tullie Time Travellers, the Yak Yak Youth Advisory Panel and summer up-cycling week workshops.  Tullie House was up against schools, museums, libraries and other venues across the North West..

Mark Gibbs; Secondary and post 16 formal Learning Officer at Tullie House attended the prize giving at Z-Arts, Manchester with two of the Austin Friar's students who were involved with the Takeover Days; Loren Ewart and Stephen Warwick.

*Arts Award is a new national arts qualification for young people aged 7-25, which has a number of different levels of study and some innovative features including the requirement to work directly with artists or musician.  The highest award - the Gold is standard of an A level and carries 35 UCAS points
