Are you ready to experience Eden Rivers Wonder World this Summer?

Join us as we explore the mighty River Eden's journey through Cumbria and the Eden Valley.

You'll discover the awe-inspiring places, history and nature that make the Eden catchment so enchanting.  You'll also meet some of the amazing creatures that call it home; including the self-healing crayfish, the dazzling kingfisher, the incredible long-distance swimming salmon, the stealthy heron and the blood-sucking lamprey.

This hands-on exhibition contains displays of Natural Science collections alongside fun and exploratory activities for all ages.

Adults £6.50 - entry to exhibition and three floors of museum galleries

Annual ticket holders and children FREE entry - (Annual tickets £10 per Adult)

There are a host of activities to support the exhibition planned for the summer months

Summer holiday drop-in sessions – every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday of the Summer holidays between 1 and 4pm. Starting from Saturday 21st July.  The sessions on Thursdays will be led by Eden Rivers Trust and will be science and environmentally focused. 

Saturday 21st July - Salt Painting. Dragonflies. Use salt, glue and watercolour paints to create beautiful dragonfly pictures.

Tuesday 24th - Paper Plate Otters. Make your own otter using paper plates.

Thursday 26th - Curious Crayfish. We’ll bring the river to you! See some of Eden’s amazing creatures up-close, and carry out some scientific tests.

Tuesday 31st - Foil Salmon. Make your salmon art shimmer like the real thing using foil to catch the light.

Thursday 2nd August - Ingenious Insects. We’ll bring the river to you! See some of Eden’s amazing creatures up-close, and carry out some scientific tests.

Saturday 4th - Sun Catcher Kingfishers. Make your own colourful kingfisher suncatcher from tissue paper.

Tuesday 7th - Pebble Pets. Paint your own river creature pebble pet.

Thursday 9th - Fantastic Fish. We’ll bring the river to you! See some of Eden’s amazing creatures up-close, and carry out some scientific tests.

Saturday 11th - Clay Nature Stamping. Design your own nature patterns by making beautiful impressions into clay.

Tuesday 14th - 3D Fish. Make your own moving 3D fish from paper.

Thursday 16th - Curious Crayfish. We’ll bring the river to you! See some of Eden’s amazing creatures up-close, and carry out some scientific tests.

Saturday 18th - Sun Printing. Create your own cyanotype paper sun print.

Tuesday 21st - Heron Hand Puppets. Make a puppet heron friend and some paper fish for them to catch

Thursday 23rd - Ingenious Insects. We’ll bring the river to you! See some of Eden’s amazing creatures up-close, and carry out some scientific tests.

Saturday 25th - Fish Lino prints. Using our beautifully carved templates print your own colourful school of fish.

Tuesday 28th - Bird Finder Binoculars. What will you spot with them? Will your finds be as colourful as your self-made binoculars?

Thursday 30th - Fantastic Fish. We’ll bring the river to you! See some of Eden’s amazing creatures up-close, and carry out some scientific tests.

Saturday 1st September - Fabric River Collage. Use fabric shapes & strips to create your own collage of your favourite things from the river.

Sunday 16th September - Crayfish Bookmarks.
