Mark Yielder retired (with his dog Uno) as the Head of the Cumbria Police Dog Unit in July 2017.
He worked for Cumbria Police for 30 years initially in Barrow and Wigton before reaching his dream of becoming a dog handler. He was involved with the dog section for 25 years, becoming the Sergeant at the helm in 2007.
Mark will talk about his experiences at the 2012 London Olympics and during the Carlisle floods, after which he received a commendation for his work. He may even bring a furry friend with him!
