Costume historian Lucy Adlington invites you into the wonderful world of fashion, fabrics and home-sewing in the 1940s, to celebrate the publication of her new novel The Red Ribbon – an amazing story inspired by the dressmakers of Auschwitz.

Carlisle Refugee Action Group (CRAG) winners of the Special Mention Certificate at the Diverse Cumbria Awards was formed in September 2015 at the height of the European refugee crisis.
Spend time with other families at our fun-filled toddler drop-in sessions for children up to 5 years old. Our sessions have a relaxed atmosphere and involve a range of activities including crafts and creative play, and if the weather's nice we make use of the beautiful gardens!
