The second in a series of illustrated talks and discussions exploring Tullie House's past, present and future, marking 125 years of art, history and nature in the heart of Carlisle.

For this talk join speakers to explore the Natural Science collection at Tullie House, the history of the collection, insight into the future of Nature displays at Tullie House and an exploration of the links between art and nature.  

7.00pm Introduction and Overview of 125 Years of Nature with Charli Summers

An introduction to the key characters and moments in the development of the Natural Science collection at Tullie House.

7.15pm What does Designation mean to Tullie House? with Simon Jackson

Curator Simon Jackson celebrates the Natural Science collection achieving Designated status with a discussion of what makes the collection internationally significant and what this award means for the future of Nature at Tullie House.

8pm – Natural Connections at Tullie House with David Clarke

Former Head of Collections and President of Carlisle Natural History Society joins us for a personal exploration of some of the links between the natural world and how it is represented across the Tullie House collections.
