Monday 25 November, from 7.00pm, film screening starts at 7.45pm
To mark the 350th anniversary of the death of Rembrandt Van Rijn (1606–1669) and our stunning new exhibition Rembrandt: Etchings from the British Museum, we are screening a ground-breaking film documenting a major exhibition of Rembrandt’s masterpieces hosted at London’s National Gallery, in collaboration with Amsterdam’s Rijksmuseum.
The film, directed by Kat Mansoor, interweaves Rembrandt’s life story with behind-the-scenes action at the gallery. The extraordinary documentary highlights the works he produced during his final years – soulful, honest and in many ways, defining our image of the Rembrandt as man and artist.
Before the screening join us for a tour of Rembrandt: Etchings from the British Museum for an evening of insight and inspiration in honour of one of the greatest artists of all time.
Tickets: £8 (student and member ticket: £5)
Ticket includes admission to the exhibition (7.00 – 7.45pm) and the film screening (7.45pm start – 90 minute run time). A cash bar will be available from 7.00pm.
