Tullie House are winners of the Telegraph Kids in Museums Family Friendly Museum Award. We follow the Kids in Museums manifesto and aim to provide a welcoming, family friendly atmosphere, first class family friendly activities and events throughout the year, spacious baby-changing areas, comfortable gallery spaces and a child-friendly restaurant menu.
Tullie Explorer Discover and Create Sundays
Every other Sunday during Cumbrian term times, 1-4pm.
Join us for a range of fun interactive activities linked to our collections or exhibitions. Handle real objects, try on costume and get creative with a range of crafts. Find some sample crafts below.

Join us on the Border Gallery at 11am every other Tuesday to hear traditional stories and folk tales linked with Tullie House's collection. Especially designed for under 5's.
Sessions last approximately 30 mins and have a relaxed atmosphere, children are welcome to come and go as they please.
Sessions are FREE but museum admission charges apply. Please check our event listing for specific dates.
We have an exciting programme of special events throughout the year celebrating our changing exhibitions including action packed summer family festivals, our famous family sleepovers and exhibition opening weekends.

We also have a family friendly map of the museum galleries highlighting all the interactive areas and points of interest.
These are also available to pick up at our Trail Station near the museum entrance.
