We're in need of some additional volunteers to help support our extensive Family Craft activities throughout the summer holidays.

Dates: During School Holidays. Sessions run on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday afternoons 1pm -4 pm. We are looking for 1 or 2 volunteers for each session.

Purpose: To help young visitors and families get the best out of the craft drop in sessions

Background: Each week there is a different theme of crafty things for young visitors to make.

  • Helping the young visitors to get crafty using the materials supplied.
  • Chatting with the children and their families.
  • These are fun filled busy sessions and you may get a little messy.
  • Should the fire alarm sound help evacuate the room.

Benefits for you: Gain experience of working within a museum. Gain experience working with children. The role will also be enjoyable! This is in addition to the benefits you will receive as being part of our volunteer team.

Skills and Qualities:  You do not need any experience, but these can be busy noisy sessions. Patience and a willingness to roll up sleeves and get stuck in is all that is needed. You must be over 16 years old.

If you're interested, get in touch with our Volunteer Coordinator kate.apperley@tulliehouse.org to arrange an informal chat.
